Cast piece, sketched in pencil, tubelined and bisque fired. The underglazes are then applied with several glazes on this particular piece, fired numerous times until the desired effect has been achieved. Finally lustre is applied and fired for the last time to achieve the iridescent finish. At this stage the gilt metal is applied to the surface to give the richness to the toadstool cap and sealed with varnish to protect it…. gorgeous!
